{*e beginning*}

hi gurls and guys, esp the gurls ;) lets talk about armament!

haha basically the role of an armament or technician is to fix weapons or tanks. for me, im a small arms technician. i fix all the rifles, pistols and mortars in service. im not gonna say much for fear of spies from the country to the north of singapore. (yeah if u get my drift, go away, shoo u spies/spy!) just an internal joke.

anyhow, workshop sessions started today, got my paws on the gpmg and co-axial. gpmg stands for general purpose machine gun..and its heavy. great for doing bicep curls tho. hahaha like real. my instructors would probably say with glee 'sign xxx extra' before i even complete a routine. for u gurls reading this, it means having extra guard duties. blah major pain in the neck.

i've been pondering on my behaviour of late. i've been rude to my parents and sister. yet i know i love them dearly. i'm gonna have a resolution, to change my attitude and cherish my beloved ones. pls dun reproach me on this.

oh yes! today's thursday and it means....FRIDAY IS HERE! hahhaa joy to the world, the weekend is here, tada lala tada! i love weekends..i love swimming, i love pple-watching, i love shopping, i love the freedom, and more importantly, i love the time i get to spend with friends and family. sweet, huh?

alrighty, im gonna be done with the otah i bought for dinner (on top of 2 otahs which i've already eaten and a packet of chicken noodles, yum yum!). catch up with everyone soon! dun forget me! love me! the poor guy needs love u know.

check out the graphics on this ultra sexy game, battlefield 2! cost me $54.90. however my initial euphoria of owning this excellent piece of software left me hanging - my operating system (OS) is NOT compatible with this game. being the smartypants i always try to be, i tried installing win xp on my other hdd. bam, another wall. my bios is not suitable for win xp.

forgive me for the technical terms i've used. simply put, i wasted money! pls folks, donate to the poor gabby, save him from boredom fund. your efforts will be greatly appreciated. who knows, you may earn a hug or kiss ;)

ps: i've been wanting to say this, but it keeps slipping from my mind. thanks michelia for ur emoticons which i have unabashedly been using. a quick shout out to jiamei (what's up gurl! haha, do take care of yourself as well as your loved ones over there!) and candis (study hard gurl, holidays are over :( )

in case you are wondering wad the above abbreviation stands for..it means Lost But Not Found.

and in case your mind starts spinning wild tales of what exactly i lost, no its not my virginity. it was my contacts ;)

went swimming in the morning, had a good 10 laps exercise..thereafter my friend and i chilled at the wave pool. no idea if that's wad it called, but hey it sounds cool, so anything goes.

initially i thought that i had wore my contacts the wrong way or opposite sides (left to right, right to left). but it was only after close inspection that i realised that gosh, i really lost them! hahaha, the most conclusive test, i realised, was to TOUCH my eyeballs! afterall, w/o the contacts, i was blind as a bet...ok back to the topic..everyone should try touching their eyeballs immediately after a swim w/o goggles. it hurts like )_%$%$.

hahaha, so here it is, my first piece of advice to anyone reading this blog.

{*lady luck*}

woohooo i had a horrible run-in with lady luck today.

it started as an ordinary day..aircon on full-blast in the morning, bath water adjusted to be just lukewarm to thraw my always-frozen body...mummy waking me up earlier than 0545 as usual...

THEN i got a rude shock when i made my way to the 2nd floor of the lrt station..there was a HORDE of people there, already waiting, tapping their feet to show their impatience. i had a premonition that i would be late. still, i managed to calm my nerves and waited for it to come.

the lrt that came..was a technical nightmare!!! it had to be driven MANUALLY for most of the stops till cck. i mean, if the lrt is supposed to be fully AUTOMATIC, why is it driven MANUALLY??? totally defeats the purpose doesnt it?

the nightmare continues. arrived at cck mrt station..only to be told the train would come 7-10 mins later..no prob i figured. however, i called my sgt ic as a precaution. the train came..and what do u know..its another technical HICCUP! the doors were screwed up..had to wait for say 20 secs at EVERY stop for the doors to open. thereafter, the train was diverted from the normal middle 'lane' to a 'side lane' where it finally left for the service depot.

needless to say, i was really late for the CO PARADE! every nsf or regular reading this, knows how solemn this event is. and its my first parade..amazing huh?

which brings me to my point. WHY THE FARE HIKE?
are singaporeans earning a lot more compared to say, a few months ago? are the establishments in charge of maintaining and improving the public services doing their jobs? is the fare hike justified?

c'mon! be realistic, dear big-wigs-who-suggested-the-fare-hike. spare the people the financial burden! the cost of living in singapore is already high..why make it higher? all the additional funds tt go into their BIG FAT pockets are ill-earned. instead, the workhorses, ie the bus drivers, communters etc are suffering, not gaining a cent from all this.

HA there u go, my 2 cents worth of my day plus my take on the fare hike. bite me if u disagree w me :)

alright ladies and gentleman, gab the great's in the house! hahaha...just returned from town, made a few good purchases, check them out..

1. got my left ear pierced, the head of the stud is like that of a diamond...haha did it at bits & pieces, wisma
2. got an adidas cap, biege in color, i like it
3. hee great chicken rice at far east shopping mall :)

gonna sleep soon, man it has been a long day.
oh yes, a shout out to anyone reading my ranting - have a great day ahead and hey ya drink more water, weather's been hot hot hot!

{*an accomplishment*}

mama mia!! wooohoo after 3 weeks of hard hard work, i've completed a project at the hq office im working at! hope it gets approved, and not fawned on, on monday!

went for the mri scan today...it was an experience to say the least. had to dress in the typical hospital gown..and it seemed awfully cold at the moment. thank god i was the first in line. thereafter, i had this shower-cap-like thingy over my hair, ear plugs in my ears and a blanket laid over me, before i was 'inserted' into this really cool, space-like capsule. haha, it looks ultra-fulturistic to me!

and...there i was lying in there for say 1/2 hour..subjected to strange, unfamiliar noises and showhow...it reminded me of how life is - you are often thrown beyond your comfort zone, left to face the unpredictable storms thrown by the circumstances and people around ya. yet, you have to survive. its a cruel, evil world out there.

guess that pretty much sums up my life now..boring, uneventful..and what have you. enough of my rantings, what do YOU think about YOUR life??

eve - tsk tsk :) u have to bear in mind that i've been isolated from the modern world..i carry a hp w no cam, that's how bad things are LOL.

{*phew*}

another week has passed, 5 days of staring at a screen/pieces of fibre called a storybook/pple working in e office.

i find enjoyment chatting with the office personnel during lunch hours. haha while they are having their hearty lunches, im eating my lil' fruit bar. u see, im currently testing my theory of dieting/exercising as mentioned in e previous post. very light lunch + heavy dinner = lose weight!

haha ok im really too tired to go into details now, but lets just say it works. no kidding.
