we're ollldddd solddiers..
AH BENG and me hahhaa.
bunkmates, buddies, friends :D
so you have it, a few pics..!!
good day folks, im back from tekong with slightly more hair!
it has been a few crazy days back in that tiny island..short excursions to the forest, endless sessions of tai-di, videos and pics being taken. hahah it has been mad alright.
you know, being able to have some personal time, gives me the luxury of thinking about lots of stuff. strangely enough, i cant seem to remember exactly what i've been thinking about, but i know they do make a lot of sense.
oh yes, and did i mention that i have a surround sound system in my bunk? well you see, i'm sleeping on bed 4. and bed 3, 5 and 6 have tendencies to chat on the hp till late. hahha especially my buddy 3 who calls me "brother-in-law". and sure enough i seem to have lots of brother-in-laws. funny huh?
im pretty glad i've learned several things. pool, foos-ball( that table soccer thingy which we play with sticks) and tai-di. enriching.
gotta run now. long day for me to enjoy today!
and oh this entry title? its random :D
thanks candis for always perking me up with your smses. <3 dear!
Your Eyes Should Be Blue
Your eyes reflect: Innocence and sweetness
What's hidden behind your eyes: A calculating mind
always thot my eyes should be blue hahha :)
you know, its until you lose something, that you begin to appreciate it. your bed, your aircon, food to cater to your taste, warm bath water are but a few examples. and these are the things that i will miss terribly when i book in. kinda sad yeah.
anyhow, fun things do happen at tekong. for one, my section mates. thurs night, after playing our usual round of tai-ki, most of us returned to our beds. that is, until this joker, we nicknamed kumor(for his uncanny resemblence to the comedian-cross-dresser artist), started with the ghost story. HAHAH my section mates were damn scared ok!
ah beng(my buddy from my unit and section) even climbed into my bed for a good 15 mins hahah. im not trying to advocate brokenback mountain here ah.
yeah so it was with great difficulty that we got to visit lala-land. the thing was, i wasnt really afraid..being fatigued made me lame to all things supernatural for the most part.
and yeah! i gotta say this. PLS PLS cherish the good food you get to eat outside. tekong food may be decent..however nothing beats the good stuff outside here. tekong guys are like hungry ghosts after booking out you know.
alrighty, i gotta sleep soon. my knees and back arent going easy on me. sigh im an old man. you take care folks =D
<<
weee i just got back from tekong this afternoon. and the first thing i did...was to visit my dry toilet. its pretty strange, the "feeling" isnt there if the toilet is all wet and stuff. hahaha illogical logic. anyway, the past few days have been boring. no doubt, i've pretty close companions in there. had lots of fun, sessions of talkin bull and tai-di(which i just picked up!! yay!)
dun you kind folks just love your beds? they're sooo comfortable and all. sigh, if i could carry my bed around hahah. that would look weird.
hmm yes im chatting with candis dearie now! must thank her for occupying my otherwise-boring evenings. however. im not to say thanks or thank you, so here goes - <3 & hug! :D hahah there you go baby.
gonna pig soon, more of my experiences l8r today. and a picture of me now hahah.
oh yes, just replace the word 'jet-plane' in john denver's song with 'fast-craft'.
its back to tekong for me, and sigh, im feeling all lethargic.
ok here's the thing. i got this from men's health, apr 06. its part of a series of exercises meant to "build great abs in 15 mins a week". however, im deeply puzzled by the instructions. hahah balance is a big issue here.
Two-Point Bridge
Get into the standard push up position. Lift your right arm and your left leg off the floor at the same time. Hold for three to five seconds. That's one repetition. Return to the starting position, then repeat, lifting your left arm and right leg this time.
how on earth do you keep your balance? hahaha.
ok back to what's been happening to me. booked out from tekong last night, reached home around 10 something and bought a mcspicy from macdonalds haha. cant help me right? must have some variety man. tekong serves avg food, but its nowhere as good as fastfood trust me. worship monosodium glutamate haha!
and did i mention my hair's mostly gone???? im devastated :( but oh well, im not conscious of my looks. staying in tekong is fine by me..but it gets boring at times. many many thanks to candis for keeping me company :) princess candis. hope you're feeling better gurl. remember, its always hard to give something precious up.
take care folks, enjoy your hair-y days while i walk around botak and all.
ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to my eyebags.
big huh? sigh the result of living in a society concerned with financial stability.
going back to tekong on monday, hope i get more sleep there haha. take care folks. continue to study hard eve, jaz, candis, iris and all e students reading this haha. 1 more week to flo's return.
exercise should be an integral part of our lives. and notice i use the world "should". why so?
as society progresses towards being a knowledge-based one (im addressing the more developed countries here), technology is gradually replacing many of the tasks our forefathers (and foremothers, haha im not sexist ok!) had to bear with. fix the screw onto the chasis of the car? get the robots to do it. run several kilometers to get a good hearty meal? no need! buy canned ones from the supermarket.
as illustrated, humans are getting lazy. lazy because we no longer have to exert ourselves physically to accomplish something. lazy because well, we simply do not need to be industrious to survive.
a typical day for workers now is to take public or private transport to work, log on to the computer and stare at the box for several hours before heading home. the way i see it, work (in terms of science) is done only when we raise our hands to pay the transport fee, to support ourselves when the bus or train gets too crowded and to type.
romantic gestures like kissing, hugging and doing that may count as work but lets not go there. i tend to digress.
anyhow, the point im trying to drive home is that you, YES YOU, should start exercising now. work out those legs, arms and cardi system. its only when it gets too late that you begin to wonder if what im saying now makes sense. consult your local gabriel for more information :D
btw, thanks candis for being such a darling. i owe you one :)
you know, not using your brain for extended periods of time do have adverse side-effects. look at me. not having used my brain, be it brainstorming or just having an intellectual conversation, has resulted in me being dumb.
haha its true! i tend to daydream more often now, i tend to space out during long journeys(in military vehicles) and i tend to do silly things at home..things that none of you will ever see hahha! i shall leave it to your imagination.
having said that, i will embark on a series of debates on my blog. very much like gp essays, just so i can stimulate my brain a little and hopefully revive those neurones. WAKE UP U LAZY GUYS!
do take care pple. my recourse bmt is next week and i've yet to pack my bag. so yeah you'll prob not see me much online. lots of packing to do.
hahah im on msn now..and i find some pple are really good conversation holders, while others well, arent.
a big HELLO to the pretty lady im chatting to now.
this is an offical plea for anyone who knows how to remove eyebags. hahaha and dun tell me to sleep more, i know that already.
i was cam-whoring just before i went to westmall with my family, and i just saw the pics i took. BAD i tell you! however much i try to cover my eyebags, it doesnt help. sigh, it will only get worse.
1 more week to tekong. what a relief. oh yes, does anyone wanna lose weight? lets diet together...combat the flabby tummies!!
